Dr. Farag's academic journey began with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from The College of Wooster in 2004, followed by a Doctor of Medicine degree from The University of Toledo College of Medicine in 2009. He went on to complete his postgraduate training and fellowship appointments at renowned institutions such as the University of North Carolina Hospital and Thomas Jefferson University.

Throughout his career, Dr. Farag has held various hospital and administrative appointments, including serving as Chief Resident in Otolaryngology at the University of North Carolina Hospital and as Designer and Programmer of the SPIDOR (Synergistic Poly-Institutional Database for Outcomes Research) database. He also served as an Associate Professor at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and College of Medicine. He has trained many fellows and residents who now practice around the country. Dr. Farag is actively involved in numerous professional societies, including the American Rhinology Association, North American Skull Base Society, and the American Academy of Otolaryngology. Dr. Farag's contributions extend beyond clinical practice. He has been involved in programming projects, such as the development of the SPIDOR database, a multi-institutional platform for prospective studies. He was also the founding Primary Investigator and continues to be instrumental in the development of the PARTNERship for Enhancing Research (PARTNER), a comprehensive data and biorepository platform to facilitate multi-institutional research collaborations.

With a passion for education and innovation, Dr. Farag has been actively involved in organizing national meetings and designing meeting apps for professional societies such as the American Rhinologic Society and the North American Skull Base Society.

Dr. Farag's dedication to research is evident through his involvement in funded research projects as both Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator. His research interests include nasal airway obstruction, olfactory loss, orbital, sinus and skull base diseases including malignancies.

In addition to his clinical and research pursuits, Dr. Farag has made significant contributions to medical literature and has been a speaker at international conferences. He has also been featured in radio, television, and magazine articles, providing valuable insights on various otolaryngological topics.

Dr. Farag holds certifications from the American Board of Otolaryngology and is a Fellow of the American Rhinologic Society. He is licensed to practice medicine in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Florida.
